Invitation 47 year race INVITATION AND SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS "47-ÅRSRACET" AUGUST 3-5 2012 1. INVITATION Linköping’s Motorsällskap has the honour to invite you to the ”47-Years Race" at Linköping’s Motorstadion, Sviestad Racing Circuit. The race is an open Scandinavian roadrace for vintage and classic motorcycles and it will count for the , SWEDISH CLASSIC RACING CUP 2012, the NORDIC CLASSIC RACING CUP 2012 and the SWEDISH SUPER MONO CUP 2012. The event is open to riders holding a National or International classic, junior, senior or elite roadracing licence. A Parade licence (or an ordinary racing license) is required for the Parade class. 2. CIRCUIT The length of the circuit is 2160 m with no significant height differences and is run in a clock-wise direction. The circuit is situated along Road 34, just south of Linköping, Sweden. 4. JURISDICTION The meeting will be held in accordance with these supplementary regulations approved by SVEMO (67-18), the SVEMO, U.E.M. and the FIM rules, in this order. 5. CATEGORIES AND CLASSES The race is open to two-stroke machines until 1967, four-stroke machines until 1972, Period 3 until 1979 and Sound of Singles. The year limit for all sidecars is 1972, regardless if it’s a two-stroke or four-stroke engine. Sidecars group A have smaller wheels than 16" front and/or rear. Group B have 16" or bigger wheels front and rear. Classes: Solos until 1947(1), Solos 0-50cc(2B), 51-175cc(2A), 176-250cc(3), 251-350cc(4), 351-500cc(5), 501-750cc(6), Period 3 A and B until 1979(7A & 7B), Formula 80-87(7C Formula 1 and 2). There will also be Supermono(9), 250 GP, RD/LC 250(11) and a Parade class. 8. NUMBER OF RIDERS ALLOWED The number of riders allowed on the starting grid is limited to: Practice Race Solos 38 30 Sidecars 25 20 9. ENTRY Applications at internet www.lms.se or on a written application form sent to Linköping’s MS Written application forms are also obtainable from the organizer or the FMN, and must reach the organizer not later than July 10, 2011. The Organizer has the right to refuse an entry without stating the reason. The Parade is open only to riders not participating in the racing classes. Personal AMB transponder numbers must be stated on the entry form. Starting lists will be published at www.lms.se. 10. ENTRY FEE Entry fee is SEK 1900:-, Parade SEK 800:- and SEK 500- for an extra class. Applications received after the closing date are SEK 500:- extra. Each rider is allowed 30 m2 paddock area. Additional area will be charged. Transponder fee is SEK 500:- for riders without a personal AMB TranX 260 transponder. Foreign riders should pay in SEK upon arrival. 11. NON-PARTICIPATION A rider, accepted for the meeting, who cannot take part, must, in writing, by fax or by mail ( rr.time@gmail.com) inform the organizer as soon as possible, stating an acceptable and valid reason. 12. STARTING NUMBERS The starting numbers and number plates must conform to the rules, and must be clearly visible from the time-keeping office. 13. ARRIVAL The participants must visit the Race Office as soon as possible, not later than 10.00 on Saturday. There they must display their licences. The paddock opens on Thursday at 10.00. No rider is allowed to enter the paddock area before that time. The Race Office is situated outside the paddock on Thursday at 10.00-22.00, and on Friday at 07.30-20.00 and on Saturday at 08.00-12.00 inside the paddock. An official will show you your place in the paddock. The paddock entry will be closed at night (22 – 07). 14. TECHNICAL INSPECTION No rider or machine is allowed on the circuit before passing the technical inspection. Prior to this the rider must visit the Race Office. The technical inspection is open on Thursday at 18.00-21.00, on Friday at 07.00-21.00 and on Saturday at 07.00-12.00. 15. TRANSPONDERS The bike must be fitted with a working personal AMB TranX 260 transponder in all sessions. The rider is responsible for its fitting and, in case of having a rented transponder, he must return the transponder to the Race Office immediately after his last heat. 16. PADDOCK SILENCE No engines may be started between 21.00 and 07.00 every night. 17. RIDERS´ BRIEFING Riders must attend at a briefing on Friday at 18.30 and (maybe) on Saturday at 18.45 in the paddock in front of Race Office B. Please observe that these briefings are compulsory for all riders (signing lists)! It concerns our safety! 18. FUEL AND ELECTRICITY There will be no sale of fuel in the paddock. Electricity (230V/10A) is only available in certain areas of the paddock from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening. No extra charge! 19. MINI BIKES It is not permitted to use mini bikes just for fun in the paddock. They are great for serious transportation, not just for fooling around in the paddock! 20. ENVIRONMENT An approved environment mat must be put under every racing bike. On the go-kart track you must as well use a piece of wood under the bike to protect the tarmac. No nails or anything else that may damage the tarmac! Cars and other heavy vehicles may not be parked on the tarmac of the go-kart track. The must be parked on the grass. 21. NOISE LIMIT The noise limit for a passing bike is 95 dB(a). The control limit with stationary full throttle measuring will be decided by SVEMO. The organiser´s noise meter is official and valid. 22. SAFETY VEHICLES Safety vehicles are driven on the left-hand side when possible. 23. MEDICAL EXAMINATION After every accident, when a rider has fallen off his machine, the rider must be examined by the Doctor, and the machine must pass the technical examination again, before the rider can continue. This means: Down is Out! 24. STARTING PROCEDURE The grid is determined upon the basis of the practice results. The organizer has the right to determine up to 20% of the grid regardless of the practice results. The pole position is at the right in the race direction. There will be no warm-up lap, except for the Super Mono, 250GP and 7C. After a sighting lap the start will take place as soon as possible. All classes will use clutch-starts. 25. To be classified the rider must cross the finish line no more than two minutes after the winner. 26. PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each class. 27. PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY The prize-giving ceremony will take place in the paddock, at 19.00 on Saturday and at 16.30 on Sunday. 28. PROTESTS A protest must be in writing, signed and handed over to the Clerk of the Course. The protest fee is SEK 400:-. The time limit for protesting against a race or qualification result is 30 minutes after publishing time. 29. MATTER OF FACT OFFICIALS Starting line officials and noise officials are Matter of fact Officials, against whose decision you cannot protest. 29. CANCELLATION If the event, or a part thereof, has to be cancelled, the affected riders will be notified no later than a week before the meeting.
